Safety precautions for forklifts
The core of the precautions for safe use of forklifts includes key aspects such as pre operation inspection, standardized driving, load management, environmental observation, and emergency handling. It is necessary to strictly abide by the basic principles of licensed work, prohibition of overloading, and maintaining stable speed to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
Pre operation inspection and preparation
1. Equipment inspection: Before starting daily, check the brake system, steering device, hydraulic system, tire condition, and warning equipment (such as lights and horns) for normal operation. If any faults are found, they should be reported for repair immediately.
2. Personal protection: Operators must wear safety helmets, anti slip shoes, and high visibility work clothes to avoid loose clothing being caught up by machinery.
3. Qualification requirements: Forklift drivers must hold a special operation certificate to work, and it is strictly prohibited to operate without a certificate or under the influence of alcohol.
Driving and Driving Standards
1. Starting and speed: After confirming the safety of the surroundings, sound the horn to start and maintain a low speed (recommended in the factory area at 5 kilometers per hour), avoiding sudden acceleration or braking.
2. Turning and Slope: Reduce speed during turning to prevent rollover; Advance uphill and reverse downhill, do not turn on slopes or load or unload goods.
3. Environmental observation: Pay attention to the flatness of the ground, high-altitude obstacles, and pedestrians. When the line of sight is obstructed, reverse driving or be directed by a designated person.
Load management
1. Weight and balance: Overloading or single fork loading is strictly prohibited. The goods must be evenly distributed and placed against the shelving, with a height not exceeding 500 millimeters to maintain stability.
2. Loading and unloading safety: The fork is fully inserted into the bottom of the cargo, and the door frame tilts backwards during transportation; Large goods should be driven backwards to avoid obstructing the line of sight.
